Job Description:
Our Client, a well-established Building/ Construction Company based in Birmingham are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team due to a sustained growth in business. The role would be suitable for someone with experience in a similarrole with strong knowledge of the building trade and a hard working, flexible approach.
Competitive starting salary around £50,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and bonus.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following duties:-
* Managing of project works - From placing order, RAMS, management of the work packages onsite
* Control of cost on projects
* Managing a team of people
* Advising clients on works and progress updates
* Finding the right projects to be worked on
* Pricing tender packages - visiting site with subcontractors / specialist
* Ordering of materials
* Rasing subcontract orders / Pos
* Roof survey works / Measuring of projects
* Managing labour force
* Using IT packages including Microsoft Excel
* Please note this role will be split approximately 50/50 between the office just outside of central Birmingham and clients’ sites which are broadly Midlands based. (You will be required to travel outside of the Midlands on an ad hoc basis if required.)
The ideal candidate will have:-
* Experience working within a construction/ building environment.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Experience in roofing/surfacing/waterproofing (desirable not essential.)
* CSCS card.
* Knowledge of construction phase plans and health & safety.
* Good IT skills.
* Strong team work ethic.
* An ability to work using own initiative.
* A flexible approach. Not shy of hard work!
* A hands on approach, with a willingness to complete a wide range of tasks.
* An ability to build strong working relationships.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
