Grafton Banks Finance is working with an SME healthcare business, based in Haslemere, to recruit its new Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director this role will manage the finance operations of the business including leading the budgeting, financial planning, and financial reporting.
We are looking for a qualified accountant and an experienced Finance Manager who is comfortable working in broad hands-on roles, you need to be technically and analytically strong and will have proven leadership skills. Experience in the healthcare industry would be an advantage.
Key tasks include:
* Prepare and present detailed financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to the senior management team.
* Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
* Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic budget plans.
* Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the organisation without compromising quality of care.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Manage cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Lead financial projects, including system implementations and process improvements, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
This role is largely office based in Haslemere. Salary is £65,000 – 75,000 + benefits
