Job Description:
Finance Analyst - Hook, Hampshire (Hybrid) - £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits
FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a market leading Manufacturing company based in Hook Hampshire, to assist with their recruitment of a Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Financial planning cycle and Financial and management reporting, working closely with shareholders and reporting into the Financial Controller.
This is a new role in the business due to a period of sustained growth and we’re looking for a someone who is self motivated, can work on their own and as part of team, holds excellent communication skills and is looking to join a fast paced and growing business.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Responsibility for the month end process, this involves complete management and understanding of all accounting entries.
* Management Reporting
* Group Reporting
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation, understand all accounts, ensure sensibility of postings and analyse movements on accounts.
* Analytical review with ECM / Department Managers of Actual against Budget to understand variances, highlight areas which require changes or preventative measures and forecast future performance.
* Assisting budget / forecast preparation
* Monthly VAT return submission
* Continuous development of internal management reporting, including support for ERP system change.
* Ongoing interrogation of systems to understand the how’s & and why of transactions and to recommend changes to processes to improve controls & efficiency.
* Assistance in preparing schedules for head office and yearend audit, including liaison with auditors where necessary.
Requirements:
* Experience in Budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Strong financial and management accounting background
* Studying towards ACCA/CIMA Qualification.
* Excel and ERP Experience (SAP would be preferred)
The successful candidate should be studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualification with a strong FP&A background coupled with being commercially astute. Holding high attention to detail, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills, coupled with strong Excel experience.
