Job Title:                Assembly Team Leader

Department:           Manufacturing Business Units

Reporting to:         Manufacturing Manager

           
Key Responsibilities:

For the following activities it is expected that the Team Leader will:


* Ensure the Health and Safety handbook is viewed, signed and followed by all employees.
* Ensure your designated production plans are disseminated to the team in hourly objectives and said objectives are monitored and any deviation acted upon immediately. To be tracked using visual management boards hourly and completing plan Vs Actuals at the end of shift daily.
* Ensure all KPIs are up to date- SQDIP, Yields, Plan Vs Actual, Layered audits, CCAR.
* Ensure all staff are suitably trained to undertake the tasks required to manufacture a quality compliant product in the correct quantity. All training paperwork must be completed in advance of the training sign off.
* Monitor and act upon absence and lateness of the team in line with the relevant procedures.
* Manage holidays for the team to ensure the production needs are covered and high levels of holiday are not carried to the end of a year.
* Active in managing the stock levels of components line side to ensure continuity of build.
* Ensure all non-compliant parts are recorded and formally disposed of in line with the company scrap procedures.
* Work closely with other departments (Quality, Engineering, Moulding) to resolve issues impacting you reaching targets.
* High standards of housekeeping are implemented and continuous improvement is made.

All the above activities are to be carried out whilst adhering to Wipac’s Health and Safety, Environmental and 5S policies.

Experience & Qualifications


* At least 5 year’s experience in an assembly role.
* Good written, verbal communication skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ethos.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
