This role will support the smooth day to day running of the Group Legal function. You’ll be assisting the Group General Counsel and will work in collaboration with other legal colleagues.
Areas of legal work
* Providing legal support to departments across the business, particularly in respect of contractual matters
* Managing the legal process across a broad variety of business initiatives
* Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
* Working cross-functionally on larger projects as well as working independently on smaller and/or strategic matters, with support from the General Counsel
* Advising on the interpretation of contracts and how to leverage strengths in disputes
* Creating solutions for the business to resolve legal and process challenges
* Ensuring compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities
* Assessing risks in business process and decision making
This hybrid position offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to split your time between working from home and in the offices- if you prefer spending more time in the office or at home, all applications are welcome.
Core skills you’ll need to succeed in the role:
* Legal Qualification: You’ll need to be a Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
* Legal Proficiency: You’ll possess a strong understanding of commercial contracts.
* Professional Experience: You’ll need to be able to demonstrate expertise gained through practical legal work, including handling cases, advising clients, and contributing to legal projects.
* Attention to Detail: Legal work requires precision, were looking for meticulousness in drafting contracts, reviewing documents, and conducting legal research.
