CNC Turner - Opportunity for a sliding head turner (ideally Star experienced) to join this established team in tis aerospace precision engineering company working on a new star lathe. Any programming experience an advantage but Star (or perhaps even citizen) experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining and a proven track record of producing high-quality components.
Responsibilities:
* - Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, specifically Star Sliding Head machines, to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications
* - Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards
* - Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machine settings as needed
* - Maintain a clean and organised work area
* - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
* - Proven experience as a CNC Turner with expertise in programming, setting, and operating Star Sliding Head machines
* - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
* - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
* - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* - Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, and work-holding fixtures
