The Company

Nigel Wright Procurement and Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a well established leading Manufacturer to recruit a Purchasing Manager.

The Role

The Purchasing Manager will report directly into the senior leadership team, with a core remit of:
* Managing, mentoring the Purchasing team
* Devising and implementing the Procurement Strategy (Directs and Indirects) - Balancing the requirements of multiple business units  
* Building relationships with internal stakeholders
* Supplier relationship/-performance management, new sourcing and onboarding
* Inventory reduction, cost reduction exercises to improve/safeguard competitive advantage 

About You

The ideal Purchasing Manager will have/be:
* Proven track record in a Purchasing Manager role - ideally from within high volume Manufacturing, Electronics
* Experienced in devising procurement strategy - managing both long term goals and short term reactive work
* Strengths in supplier relationship management and stakeholder engagement
* Strong leader and mentor
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
