You will play an important role in delivering Technology change for the OTC Rates, Credit, FX Clearing Business. As a senior QA/UAT engineer, you will be responsible planning, executing, documenting and automating testing across several interconnected applications, environments and functional domains with the Investment Bank. You will be working within the wider technology change function on change the bank projects and ensuring the business technology landscape is meeting the business and non-functional requirements.

You must also become knowledgeable and be eager to learn the front-to-back clearing workflows and the respective IT Applications across multiple functional areas (Trade Capture, Regulatory, Risk, Collateral, Client Reporting & Billing, Settlements, CCP Connectivity, Trade Messaging, CCP reporting, Data aggregation/ storage, data provision to downstream functions)

This is a critical role in our effort to enhance our QA/UAT process, integrating quality assurance efforts earlier in the development cycle.

Your key responsibilities
* Designing and executing test plans/cases in accordance with requirements specifications in a complex multi-application end-to-end environment to identify software problems.
* Analysing and identifying areas where automation of testing can be employed to reduce manual overhead and increase test coverage
* Implementing and maintaining test automation for various application components using CRM/SQL automation testing tools (eg, Cucumber)
* Maintaining documentation relating to applications to aid future testing and streamlining of the testing process
* Recommending changes to internal standards and/or procedures where appropriate
* Working in partnership with multiple development teams and business stakeholders to agree on scope and success criteria for different phases of testing
Your skills and experience
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent
* Experience with Java/SQL (or equivalent) application development and support or automation framework development
* Experience in testing automation and associated tools as well as experience in software testing in an enterprise application or financial services domain
* Experience of working with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid SDLC environments and across associated tooling (JIRA, GIT, Confluence, TeamCity, Splunk)
* Experience in working on large scale and complex deliverables spanning across multiple functions, workflows and stakeholders
* The ability to gather and interpret information from a range of different sources, and in a number of different ways
