Job Description:
Industrious Recruitment have an exciting oppitunity for a data forecast analyst to work for our client based in Hemel Hempstead on a permanent or contract basis.
Role Overview: This pivotal role involves collating and analysing product, pricing, and margin data, developing and implementing data systems, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of retail and or manufacturing, be adept at creating efficient processes, and excel in using data to forecast and optimise business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Analysis:
* Gather and analyse data related to products, pricing, margins, and market trends.
* Develop and maintain databases to store and manage large datasets.
* Utilise statistical methods to interpret data and generate insights.
Forecasting & Reporting:
* Create accurate forecasts for product demand, pricing trends, and market behaviour.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
* Manage data to meet legal reporting requirements around waste and environmental impact and reporting to external partners responsible for these areas.
* Develop dashboards and visualisations using tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other third-party software to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
System Development:
* Design and implement systems and processes for efficient data collection and analysis.
* Identify and integrate third-party software solutions as needed.
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy through meticulous process management.
Collaboration & Communication:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align data strategies with business goals.
* Support senior management with processes to achieve short and long term business goals.
* Communicate complex data insights and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
* Provide training and support to team members on new data systems and processes.
Qualifications:
* Higher qualifications in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
* Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with data visualisation tools like Microsoft Power BI.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience in developing and implementing data systems and processes.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience of SAP Business One and Qlik would be beneficial
