Research Admin Assistant (Corporate Finance)

GRG are pleased to support a leading firm in the financial services industry, renowned for providing top-tier corporate finance solutions to a diverse clientele.
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Corporate Finance Research Admin Assistant to join our client’s Birmingham team. This role is integral to supporting to support their research division, ensuring the seamless flow of information, and aiding in the preparation of critical analysis and supporting the acquisitions and origination processes.
What will you be doing in your new role?
- Conduct thorough research on corporate finance trends, market data, and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of financial reports, presentations, and research documents.
- Maintain and update financial databases and records with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Director & wider team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organising files.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather and verify financial information.
- Monitor and summarise financial news and market developments relevant to the company’s interests.
What experience are we looking for?
- Graduated in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a research or administrative role within a corporate finance or professional services environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with financial software and CRM databases.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
