Job Description:
Experienced IT Support Technician
Salary: £26K-£32K dependent on experience and demonstrable technical ability
Location: Leeds LS2 7QJ with travel to customer sites as required - MUST live within a commutable distance to LS2 and possess full UK Driving licence
Hours: Full-time (40/week) 9.00-5.00pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Only candidates with relevant IT support experience will be considered for this role.
We offer a comprehensive range of IT support services tailored to our customers’ needs, including general maintenance, broadband, network management, and more. We are now looking for an experienced IT Support Technician with a robust background in IT support, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of network technologies.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
* Administer and manage Windows Active Directory and support Microsoft 365 services (including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.).
* Provide expert technical support and guidance to users, resolving complex issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
* Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
* Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
* Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent downtime.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support or a similar role, with significant experience in Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, and Microsoft 365.
* Strong understanding of computer systems, network technologies, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and remain calm under pressure.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
* A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Desirable Skills:
* Certificates in Microsoft technologies (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are highly desirable.
* Experience with cloud services, cybersecurity practices, and advanced network administration.
