This is a well-rounded role which will provide exposure to various aspects of finance, from statutory accounting to month-end management reports. If you’ve developed experience across both, and enjoy working in a varied position, we’re keen to chat.
The role…
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and accruals.
* Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes.
* Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and compliance documents.
* Monitor and analyse financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyse financial information.
About you…
* Strong experience working with debits and credits
* Previous experience in a group setting
* Multi-site experience highly desirable (Hospitality, Retail etc)
* Strong understanding of controls and ability to identify potential process improvements
* Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
