Job Description:
We are currently on the lookout for a Corporate Finance Senior Manager with over 4 years of due diligence experience. Our client, an accounting and business advisory firm, provides a wide range of services in accounting, tax, and corporate finance to support businesses, investors, and private clients in making well-informed decisions.
This role is based in Maidenhead and offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.
The salary for this position is approximately £75k.
The Role:
To lead the fieldwork for Transaction Services (TS) engagements, which includes managing projects and overseeing team performance. Additionally, the role involves providing support for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) engagements as needed.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
* Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of specific corporate finance engagements
* Manage project timetables and resourcing
* Coach and train junior members of staff
* Delegate effectively and appropriately to junior members of staff
* Interact across the business to form a strong management peer group that communicates and shares knowledge around key issues impacting business performance
* Develop own network of contacts that are accretive or incremental to existing firm relationships
* Demonstrate an ability to win work for corporate finance and the wider business through client portfolio (new and existing) and personal network (new)
General Responsibilities:
* Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data
* Act in accordance with the business’ values and competency framework
* Maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
Skills & Abilities:
* Proficient in Excel (data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to communicate with senior management and explain points clearly and concisely
* Ability to communicate with client personnel at all levels and explain points clearly and concisely
* Ability to coach and develop other team members
Knowledge & Experience:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
* Minimum 4 years’ post-qualified experience with at least 2 years in Corporate Finance (TS or M&A)
* Experience in training and coaching other team members
* Successful project management experience from planning to completion across teams
* Understanding of CF (Corporate Finance) deal structures and completion mechanisms
* Understanding of the Thames Valley and London Private Equity community
* Understanding of CF research systems and their usage
