Position Overview:
Food Production Operative (Picking and Packing)
£11.44 per hour, paid weekly. Immediate Start Up to January 2025.
Haverhill
A Sausage Production Worker is responsible for assisting in the manufacturing process of sausages in a factory setting. This role involves operating machinery, following safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the final product.
Key Responsibilities:
* Packaging and Labelling: * Package finished sausages according to company specifications.
* Label products accurately with relevant information (expiration date, ingredients, weight).
* Ensure packaged products are stored correctly to maintain freshness.
* Sanitation and Maintenance: * Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils according to standard operating procedures.
* Perform routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure efficient operation.
* Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Record-Keeping: * Maintain accurate records of production quantities, batch numbers, and any deviations.
* Document cleaning and maintenance activities as required.
