Finance Assistant- hybrid

Job Description:
Sheridan Maine are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic company on a a contract basis. This role is an initial 6 months with the possibility of being extended and will be wokring for a leading business based in Reading. 

Duties of the position include:
* Daily completion of all bank reconciliations
* Using processes to automate the reconciliations process
* Posting payments on to the accounting system
* Pro-actively monitor, investigate and resolve reconciled transactions
* Ownership of monthly tasks including updating journals, and ensuring deadlines are met
* Assisting with other tasks when necessary

Requirements:
* Intermediate Excel user
* Experience using accountancy systems 
* Strong organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
* Experience working in a busy accountancy environment
* Able to work on your own initiative

The company is accessible by public transport and parking is available on site. They also offer hybrid working.
