You will support the Head of Technical and Senior Category Technologist to drive the quality and technical agenda within the business aligned to the 3-year plan and global product strategy. You will ensure that H&B is at the forefront of any technological processes which will support launching pioneering new products.  You will ensure H&B has robust and agile processes of continuous monitoring of product quality, safety, and ethics.

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
* New supplier assessment and approval against H&B safety, quality, sustainability, ethical sourcing, and product integrity standards
* Specification and Quality Contract approvals
* Attend product trials and first productions to support new product launches
* Management of suppliers to improve product safety, quality and drive continuous improvement
* Identification and continuous review of the appropriate testing regiments for H&B own label products underpin product safety, quality, efficacy, and any claims made on products
* Management of product monitoring plan for the category to ensure consistent product safety and quality
* Identify opportunities and initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the supply base
* Providing technical insight to the business regarding the supply base and their capabilities
Product Management:
* Support the product development team for NPD / EPD with technical and quality activities.
* Acting as technical expert in terms of processes, suppliers, and new technological capabilities to support category transformation
* Meet product complaint reduction targets by working with the suppliers on root cause analysis and prevention on and off site
* Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders on quality issues for existing and new products
Internal Collaboration:
* Build strong relationships and role model collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on regulatory requirements and product compliance.
* Work as part of regular quality review meetings in order to drive product quality improvements and compliance
* Stay abreast of evolving regulatory trends, guidelines, and best practices to drive proactive compliance to all relevant regulations and accreditation standards
Location: We are a fully hybrid organisation with bases in London, Nuneaton, and Burton.  1 day in the Nuneaton Head Office or London Office with a further day either office based or visiting supplier base.
The Person
Key Requirements: 
* Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, pharmacy, or a related field.
* Experience within the Technical Operations in Retail or Manufacturing for vitamins, supplements or THR
* Good understanding of regulatory and accreditation (BRCGS, GFSI, GMP) requirements.
* Good understanding of product formulation and composition.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective and positive communicator both verbal and written to colleagues at all levels.
* Interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
