About the role

The Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Function is responsible for ensuring the Society’s requirements are met through its procurement of goods and services, ensuring value for money is achieved and risks are appropriately identified and mitigated. 

Our Procurement & Third Party Risk team is recruiting for a Senior Third Party Assurance Officer to ensure risks associated with the use of Third Parties are appropriately managed and mitigated in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and associated regulations, guidance and policies.

This brand-new first line of defence role will be conducting assurance reviews on Third Party suppliers utilised across the Society. The person in post will ensure the resilience of services and security of data that customers and colleagues rely on and ensure that suppliers are acting in a compliant and sustainable manner.

Engaging with a range of stakeholders and Third Parties the role holder will review and assess existing policies, processes and controls, suggesting pragmatic solutions in the event of challenges and undertake agreed processes regarding the on-boarding and assessment of suppliers.

About you

You’ll have demonstrable experience of risk management specifically documenting risk and controls, assessing controls, logging events and on-going monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

You’ll have the ability to create accurate meaningful reports and manage logs, reports and folders relating to Third Party Risk and also have experience of assessing supplier compliance to regulations, Policy and process recommending where necessary mitigating actions.
