About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in unitised facades, curtain walling, and cladding. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects, ensuring the company remains competitive and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates
* Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors
* Assess material, labour, and equipment costs
* Prepare and submit tender documents
* Review and adjust estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
* Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as necessary
* Maintain and update estimating databases
* Prepare reports and present findings to senior management
About You:
* Proven experience as an Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
* Specialisation in unitised facades, curtain walling, and cladding
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs
* Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
* Team player with a proactive attitude
Qualifications:
* Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor, or related field
* Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is desirable
