Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Birmingham for a Licensing Officer. The role will involve dealing with alcohol licensing for pubs, bars, gambling & adult venues, printing applications, scanning documents, filing, data entry and general functions within the office.
This is a full time, temporary role initially until Oct 2024 and offers a pay rate of £12 per hour. This role does require you to be office based.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Process applications for licences / registration and provide a general administration support service to the Licensing Section.
* Progress chase any matters relating to the issue of licences, including the use of associated systems including ’bring forward’ systems.
* Set up, revise and maintain manual and computerised record systems for licensing matters.
* Process applications relating to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
* Produce committee reports, appeal files, statements of witness and attend court and give formal evidence as required.
* Liaise with enforcement agencies and other organisations in connection with licensing enquiries.
Person Specification
* Experience within similar role
* Strong administrative skills
* Knowledge in relation to licensing is desirable
