Our client and their vacancy:
Our client, a London based Design and Build company encompassing in-house electrical and fire & security divisions who work with end user clients but also on a sub-contract basis to other main contractors.
They are seeking to employ a capable Electrical Estimator to join their commercial division after strong recent growth in the company to help take the business to even higher levels.
Electrical EstimatorResponsibilities:
* Take offs from drawings, interpretation of specifications/drawings to project needs.
* Conducting site visits to create scopes of work with existing clients.
* You will be responsible for defining the technical requirements and feasibility of a project.
* Dealing with wholesalers/subcontractors for quotations and making sure they meet the requirements of the project.
* Production of electrical detailed tender bids between £25k-£2m.
* Day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met until the project is handed over to construction.
* Attend mid and post tender meetings and post tender control.
Electrical EstimatorRequirements:
* Estimation experience from an electrical contracting background. Some knowledge also of estimating for fit out would be preferred.
* A relevant Construction degree or HND qualification.
* Excellent organisational and time management.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to adapt to a faced paced environment.
