Client Details
Our client is a leading provider of high-quality custodial furniture, dedicated to creating safe, functional, and comfortable environments for correctional facilities, detention centres, and other secure institutions.
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our custodial furniture division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, a deep understanding of the Ministry of Justice industry, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategies to expand our market presence, and working closely with our product and marketing teams to meet customer needs.
Description
* Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
* Analyse competitors, industry developments, and customer needs to inform business strategies
* Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, contracts, and new markets.
* Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including correctional facility administrators, government agencies, and contractors.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
* Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategic plans for the custodial furniture division.
* Coordinate with the marketing team to create effective sales and promotional materials.
* Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Profile
* Experience in business development or sales, with a good understanding of selling into the Ministry of Justice and HM Prisons as well as managing Contractor relationships
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Strong understanding of the corrections industry and its unique requirements.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and develop actionable business plans.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to travel
