Lead Software Developer

Our client, based in Bolton, seeks a Lead Software Developer to design and improve internal systems and collaborate with managers and stakeholders. 


Roles & Responsibilities:

* System Design: Oversee internal system design and development.
* Standards: Implement and maintain design protocols.
* Database Management: Design and manage databases.
* System Support: Maintain and support existing systems.
* Documentation: Produce necessary documentation.
* Leadership: Provide technical leadership to developers.
* Collaboration: Work with Project Managers to meet objectives.
* Workflow Management: Ensure accurate and timely work processing.
* Mentorship: Guide and train developers.
* Appraisals: Complete appraisals and handle paperwork.
* Recruitment: Assist in hiring developers.
* Disciplinary Actions: Address performance issues with HR.
* Conduct: Ensure fair handling of conduct issues.
* Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.


Training/Progression:

Complete necessary training and pursue relevant qualifications with support.


Technical Skills:

* Experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net Webforms, CSS, JavaScript, VB.NET, VBA.
* API setup and integration experience.
* Developing console, batch processing, and UI applications.
* SQL Server expertise, including design, stored procedures, and security.
* Knowledge of file structures: fixed length, CSV, XML, JSON, EDI.
