Head of Employee Relations | Iconic Retail Brand | London | £90,000

Zachary Daniels are looking for a Head of Employee Relations to join a iconic retail brand, based at their London HQ.
As Head of Employee Relations, you will work closely with Managers and Leaders across the business, serving as a trusted advisor by offering expert ER advice and practical support to key stakeholders. You will manage ER activities across the business, handling cases of varying complexity, and coaching management and leaders. Additionally, you will seek opportunities to continually enhance processes, team experience, and efficiency.
You should have experience in coaching and developing a team of ER Consultants in a fast-paced, commercial environment while managing your own caseload.
The role as Head of Employee Relations:
* Oversee the daily management, development, and coaching of ER Consultants.
* Serve as the escalation point for the HR team and Leaders on advice, appeals, and complex ER matters.
* Stay current with employment law, policies, and practices to manage ER cases, including advice, investigation, meeting support, documentation, and providing commercial recommendations while balancing business risks.
* Identify strategic and commercial trends to influence future activities and make recommendations to the Head of HR, building knowledge, awareness, and skills among managers and leaders to address root causes of issues.
* Oversee the ongoing development and refinement of HR policies, ensuring consistency and compliance with current employment legislation.
* Ensure regular and effective communication with stakeholders about upcoming legislation and new policies, including producing and delivering training to the broader HR team as needed.
* Build effective and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders across HR and the business.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

* Highly self-motivated with extensive experience in employee relations, case management, and policy-focused roles, possessing exceptional knowledge of employment law and its practical application in delivering commercial solutions.
* Demonstrated experience at management/leadership levels, effectively managing a small team while maintaining a hands-on approach to casework.
* Proven expertise in stakeholder management.
* Experienced in training, coaching, and developing HR and business stakeholders on ER matters, enhancing their knowledge and capabilities.
* Approachable, resilient, and able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
