Cedar is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join a leading Charity in the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial management and control within the organisation through the provision of strategic and financial guidance, development of policies & procedures and risk management.
Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 per annum
Location: North West
Hybrid: 3-4 days in office per week
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement financial strategies aligning with organisational goals.
* Oversee budget creation, monitor financial performance and deliver accurate forecasts.
* Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for stakeholders, including the board and donors.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and drive financial planning based on the outcome.
* Leverage the fund collection process, produce reports on funding status and liaise with stakeholders on the management of funds and grants.
* Develop policies and procedures to drive efficiency and ensure cohesion with statutory regulations and internal controls.
* Manage a team of three.
Requirements
* Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB)
* Experience in a similar role within a not-for-profit or public sector organisation
* Excellent people skills including complex stakeholder management and proven leadership experience
