Job Description:
Demand Planner * Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid working)
* Location: Watford
* Salary: £40k - £45k per annum
We are seeking a Demand Planner with a strong analytical background and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an 18-month demand plan for specific areas of our business, utilising both statistical and manual forecasting methods. This role is pivotal in developing and embedding a data-led culture within the Demand Planning department.
Day to Day of the Role: * Manage and maintain an 18-month demand plan, ensuring forecast accuracy with a MAPE of less than 15%.
* Implement a new forecasting hierarchy within demand planning software (Avercast) to provide greater detail by account.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with sales and supply chain departments to improve communication flow and accountability.
* Drive forecast accuracy and accountability through regular review meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring action-oriented outcomes.
* Be a persuasive advocate for change, resolving or escalating issues to enhance forecast accuracy.
* Support the Monthly S&OP meeting by reporting, presenting, and driving actionable tasks to improve forecast accuracy and channel level visibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar demand planning role.
* Knowledge of statistical forecasting is desirable.
* Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, basic formulas, and graphing.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to all management levels and assert opinions.
* Solutions-oriented with a positive ’can do’ attitude.
* Resilience to change and a task owner mindset.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* A confident personality that can call out areas of underperformance and drive change.
