Summary
An exciting opportunity for a proactive and dynamic Account Manager to join a leading company in the airfreight industry. The successful candidate will conduct daily sales visits to the company’s customer base to promote products and tariffs. This role is crucial in maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients while expanding the business by acquiring new clients. The Account Manager will play a central role in managing and growing the company’s client accounts, ensuring maximum sales opportunities.
The Candidate:-
* Essential sales experience, preferably within the airfreight industry.
* Ability to discuss and negotiate complex issues clearly.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer loyalty.
* Capacity to work within a targeted and sometimes pressurized environment.
* High degree of initiative and self-sufficiency with excellent time-management abilities.
* Capability to keep track of tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
* Maintain and expand relationships with all existing clients.
* Ensure all existing clients’ specific needs are met.
* Utilize available tools to secure new business across the entire product range.
* Resolve customer issues and liaise with the Customer Service Team as required.
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients.
* Promote the business by up-selling or cross-selling to existing clients.
* Identify opportunities for business growth and achieve monthly sales targets.
* Actively source and on-board new clients.
* Monitor and review business support from assigned customers.
* Operate as the central point of contact for assigned customers.
* Follow up on new leads or lost business promptly.
* Gather feedback on market rates, competitor activities, and service satisfaction.
