Job Description:
SF Group are delighted to be working with a global manufacturing business based in Cannock as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This business have significant plans for expansion locally and globally and as a result want to bring a hard working individual into their sociable team. You will report into a supportive Finance Director and be part of a team and business where the culture is very much people centric.
The ideal candidate will be at least AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA. You will be responsible for supporting the finance function by providing accurate and timely financial information to help drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Supporting the financial planning and analysis process
- Preparation of weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT and other statutory returns
- Assisting with the year-end audit process
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or AAT Qualified
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software
