Job Description:
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Cardiff
Salary: >£33,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data collection and analysis.
* Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheets.
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.
* Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Provide support during audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information.
* Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.
* Support senior accountants with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
