European Accountant Hybrid £55,000 - £60,000 Theale, Berkshire

About the Job: This role blends management and technical accounting, ideal for a seasoned Financial or Management Accountant. You will manage general ledger transactions and handle monthly and annual reporting for various European sales entities.
Duties will include:
* Managing month-end close and reporting for EU entities.
* Coordinating with regional bookkeepers.
* Performing Balance Sheet and Transfer Pricing reconciliations.
* Maintaining and posting accruals and prepayment schedules.
* Calculating and posting IFRS 9 and 16 journals.
* Conducting intercompany reconciliations.
* Handling revaluations postings.
* Reviewing indirect and direct tax ledger codes.
* Analysing results and uploading into consolidation software.
* Preparing monthly reporting packs and presenting to stakeholders.
* Forecasting weekly cash flow for the EU region.
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns for UK entities.
* Supporting local statutory audits and UK tax return preparations.
* Assisting the European Accounting Manager with ad-hoc requests and projects.
About the Successful Applicant: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience and be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified. Proficiency in advanced Excel features, excellent time management, and organisational skills are essential. Experience with SAP/S4HANA is desirable. You should be detail-oriented, capable of handling high-volume data processing, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.
