We are working on behalf of a friendly, well-established haulage company based on the outskirts of Ipswich who are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team!
With over 40 years in the industry, and a passion for ensuring responsibility to the environment, our client is a leading provider in distribution, container transport, hazardous cargo, and flat trailer services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the scheduling and dispatching a fleet of HGVs on a daily basis.
* Support a team of HGV drivers in line with Company values.
* Develop the customer base to increase weekly vehicle revenue.
* Track the performance and profitability of operations against financial targets.
* Promote the Company services and be a brand ambassador.
* Ensure vehicle revenues and customer service levels are maintained.
* Safety, health and compliance (Driver hours, WTD).
Experience Required:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
* Proven track record in commercial operations, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment.
* Knowledge of pallet networks and/or general distribution.
* Transport Management CPC.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
