Senior Claims Services Specialist - Recovery

Role Summary
Working under broad direction to manage and drive Recovery Services and Salvage operations, delivering superior business results through effective leadership of Recovery and Salvage Services, and driving continuous performance and operational improvements. This position has international scope.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership of the development, implementation and reinforcement of recovery protocols, business strategies and objectives, and regularly evaluating performance.
* Effectively managing the Recovery department and expenses by achieving productivity targets, efficiency and quality standards, appropriately leveraging internal and external resources, and using data analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
* Taking ownership of organisational profitability in respect of recoveries.
* Ensuring applicable recovery protocols are followed.
* Ensuring optimal and effective operations by developing and maintaining collaborative business partnerships with internal and external resources.
* Having the potential to build out and oversee a team of Recovery Services professionals, with full management responsibility.
* Managing the subrogation of highly complex claims with recovery potential across multiple lines of business.
* Engaging outside counsel, as needed, to conduct additional investigations on files.
Key Requirements
* Strong understanding of concepts and principles in the Recovery Services discipline, with a broad understanding of other disciplines within Claims, and thorough knowledge of the Commercial Insurance industry.
* Ability to effectively recruit, lead, coach, develop and retain talented Recovery Services professionals and/or Managers.
* Excellent communication skills and customer service experience, with the ability to succinctly present to senior management.
* Adaptable and able to effectively lead through change.
* Ability to creatively and effectively manage ambiguous and challenging business problems.
