Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Registered Mental Health Nurse to working within one of our independent mental health hospitals in Cardiff.
Our service is a modern new-build low secure hospital specialising in support for Men and Women with Learning Disabilities who also present with Mental Health problems including Personality Disorders (PD).
The aim is to reduce the presenting mental health issues and behaviours that are perceived as challenging in a setting where risk can be managed and reduced to allow service users to step down into community facing living.
The model of care is to listen to individual needs and provide person-centred care, adopting a least restrictive approach whilst promoting independence. They follow a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) model which enables the individual to be fully involved in their care and treatment plans.
The service supports rehabilitation, social inclusion and reintegration into the local community.
There is a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which consists of Qualified Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist and Psychiatrist based on site. Additional services such as Speech and Language Therapy, and Dietetics are also available as required.

Person Specification
Qualified Mental Health Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Previous experience within a forensic / secure setting.
