My client is a leading main contractor in the rail industry, renowned for delivering exceptional station upgrades and reactive maintenance works. As they continue to expand operations, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor with a strong background in rail projects to join the team.
Role Overview: As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing site operations for station upgrades and reactive works. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
* Oversee the implementation of station upgrade projects and reactive maintenance works.
* Manage and lead site teams, including subcontractors and laborers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues promptly.
* Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
* Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
* Ensure the availability and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment on site.
* Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and protocols.
* Address and resolve any on-site challenges or conflicts, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications and Experience: * Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the rail industry, with a focus on station upgrades and reactive works.
* Strong knowledge of rail construction and maintenance processes, standards, and regulations.
* Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification is essential.
* Specific construction competencies, including but not limited to, temporary works coordination, earthworks, track installation, signaling, and electrical works.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
* Relevant certifications and qualifications in rail safety and site supervision are highly desirable.
