Job Description:
Children’s Home Registered Manager Location: Oldham, Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager for a 3-bed EBD home in Oldham, Manchester. This role offers a clear progression pathway to become a Dual Registered Manager within 12 months and potential future advancement to Responsible Individual (RI).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment.
* Lead and develop the staff team, fostering a culture of excellence, resilience, and continuous improvement.
* Create, implement, and review individualized care plans, promoting the health, education, and well-being of each child.
* Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and standards, preparing for and participating in inspections.
* Work collaboratively with children, families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to meet the children’s needs and ensure their voices are heard.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
* Promote safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe environment for all children.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
* Effective leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining a motivated and high-performing team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance.
