Transport Planner

Shifts: Double Day
Overall Role Purposes: Are you an experienced transport planner with a knack for managing and planning vehicles for import collections and export deliveries from Heathrow? Do you thrive under pressure and adapt easily to change? If so, we want you to join our dynamic transport team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and plan vehicles for import collections and export deliveries from Heathrow.
* Adapt and remain calm in a pressured, time-driven environment.
* Familiarity with DVSA, WTD, and UK legislation.
* Collaborate as part of the transport team.
* Flexibility with working times and days as part of a shift operation.
* Communicate effectively at all levels, handling both internal and external customers.
* Demonstrate forward-thinking attitude in freight forwarding, compelling others to follow suit.
* Comply with all DHL Global Forwarding processes and procedures.
* Solve problems efficiently and enjoy the challenge.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in scheduling, preferably in the air freight industry.
* Full understanding of Aviation Security regulations and ensuring compliance.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Responsible for workplace Health & Safety, monitoring and enforcing safe systems of work for drivers.
* Experience with shared mailboxes.
* Highly motivated, able to multitask with IT generalist knowledge.
* Confident using MS Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Attention to detail with a focus on customer service, administration, and financial awareness.
* 5-year checkable work history and CRB check.
