We are delighted to be working with an evolving, UK wide business. This business holds strong to their core values and takes pride in the unparalleled service they offer to their customers. We are supporting with their search for an experienced Credit Controller who can build strong customer and stakeholder relationships, own your ledger and is highly motivated to keep debt to a minimum. You will be joining their fast-paced and streamlined Credit team and report directly into the department manager.

This role comes with an annual salary of up to £33,000 dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintaining accurate records of customer accounts and ensuring that all invoices are paid within agreed terms
* Liaising with customers to resolve any payment issues and negotiating payment plans where necessary
* Monitoring credit limits and ensuring that credit terms are adhered to
* Producing regular reports on debtor days, payment performance, and credit risk
* Working closely with the sales team to ensure that credit checks are carried out on new customers and that credit terms are agreed in line with company policy
* Managing and investigate complex invoice queries and resolve in a timely manner.
* Performing account reconciliations.
* Maintaining vigilance and keep on top of deteriorating payment trends.
* Perform credit checks.
* Escalating queries and collections as required by following internal processes.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience within high volume Credit Control.
* Organised, detail orientated and able to meet specified deadlines.
* Confident communicator and be able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
* Take ownership of your accounts and be confident in making decisions.
* Support your team and use initiative with organising and keeping on top of your workload.
* Strong Excel skills are essential.
* Previous knowledge of Coupa or similar systems is desirable.
