Job Description:
HR Advisor - Exciting step up opportunity!
Job Purpose:
Develop; maintain collaborative and productive working relationships, providing a
professional service to specified groups of management and staff, establishing customer
requirements, identifying, and facilitating the resolution of HR matters to provide a value-added proposition.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
• Proactively provide relevant support to management, manage expectations and deal with
HR issues as required.
• Manage Performance Review and performance management processes for designated
client group.
• Payroll administration for client group for submission to payroll provider; including
preparation of offers and contracts of employment, contract variations etc. and accurate
input of this information into HR system.
• Managing individual ER cases, including investigations; disciplinary, grievance, capability
etc. up to dismissal and appeal stage.
• Support management with regards to absence / sickness absence in line with relevant
procedure and partners e.g., Occupational Health provider.
• Managing and providing advice on policy and procedure e.g., flexible working etc.
• Provision of coaching and mentoring to managers regarding effective use of HR policy and
procedure.
• Provision of information and management reporting as required.
• Identifying staff development needs with client group and manage expectations/timing.
• Creating or updating job descriptions for new/change in roles.
• Supporting HR Manager in:
? Embedding Culture and Values initiatives within the Business.
? Driving Business performance in relation to organisational objectives.
? Reviewing and updating policies and procedures in line with legislation and Business
requirements.
? Leading on specific projects as required.
• Owner of end-to-end recruitment process:
? Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, prospective staff, and other HR team
members; developing recruitment and selection strategy; using most effective method
for recruiting roles; support managers in interview and selection process; making offers
to prospective candidates; promoting equal opportunity.
? Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates.
? Continuous improvement of recruitment and selection processes.
