About the role
Would you like an opportunity to join a global leader in the luxury retail market? Here you go. This role has full financial controlling responsibility for a key brand within the business providing direct support to the General Manager, in all financial aspects including monthly management reporting, budgets, and all ad-hoc finance analysis. This Financial Controller role is a key business partner of the brand by providing insightful reports and analysis to support decision making and by challenging when needed using smart benchmark & market analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Strong interaction with relevant stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, HR
* Direct support to General Manager
* Management, development and coaching of a small team
* Key participation in monthly management meetings
* Pro-actively prepare and manage budget planning and review process
* Monthly Sales forecasting, coordinate budget including challenge, review and presentation
* Preparation of 3 year plan
* Prepare timely and accurate monthly reporting with exec summary
* Provide detailed monthly analysis of sales and forecast
* Quarterly reporting
* Provide detailed monthly analysis of costs & analysis of main variances
* Analyse the overall delivery of Company financial targets on a regular basis and report back to the business with recommendations as necessary
* Participate in the implementation of Finance/ IT projects for the controlling functions
* Reinforce internal control requirements and implement procedures as necessary
* Continually seek to improve processing efficiency and controlling capabilities of the Company
Person profile
* CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified with several years PQE Experience in a similar position within an international group, preferably in FMCG, retail, luxury business
* Experience with large systems preferable.
* Autonomous and organised
* First class communication skills including business partnering
* Deliver on time
* Analytical mind and strong attention to detail
