Band 5 - Registered Nurse in an Orthopaedic hospital on an ADHOC/block booking basis
*Position Overview:*
In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures in the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery room. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients, managing their recovery, and ensuring their comfort and safety following surgery, and rehabilitation programmes.
**Responsibilities:**
* Assessing and monitoring the patient’s health
* Creating and updating the patient’s plan of care
* Collaborating with the patient
* Administering medications and treatments
* Supporting physical rehabilitation
* Educating patients about their conditions and the steps needed for recovery
* Helping with casting and wound dressing for the recently injured
* Providing motion therapy for those recuperating from injuries
*Requirements:*
-Immunisation History report
-Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
-Must be registered with the NMC with an up-to-date PIN number with no restrictions
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
