Quantum Scholars are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for a secondary school in Basingstoke. As the Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our computing curriculum and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. This role will commence in January 2025 and it is on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities - * Provide strong leadership and management of the Computing Department, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
* Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the computing curriculum, ensuring it meets current educational standards and industry requirements.
* Deliver high-quality teaching in computing, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
* Mentor and support the professional development of departmental staff, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying training needs.
Essential Requirements * Right to work in the UK.
* Must be a qualified teacher.
* Significant teaching experience to High School Level(Grades 7 - 12) in Computing, with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
* Previous leadership or management experience is also essential.
* In-depth knowledge of the UK Computing National Curriculum.
