The Role
Our client is looking for a qualified Finance Manager to lead the preparation of management accounts, financial reports, annual budgeting, and forecasting, oversee AP and AR, and support with month-end. This role is perfect for a dynamic and efficient finance professional who is looking to grow their career in a fast-growing and well-recognized business.

Responsibilities
* Compile monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, and produce comprehensive finance reports with business commentary.
* Prepare and process month-end journals to generate monthly profit and loss statements and reconciled balance sheet statements.
* Engage regularly with budget holders and business managers, delivering ongoing training in financial management.
* Mentor the Finance Assistant and promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Assist in the development of the annual business plan and maintain the budget model.
* Develop forecasts to compare actual performance against planned outcomes, including variance analysis.
* Coordinate with external accountants for the preparation of annual statutory accounts and provide necessary schedules and reconciliations.
* Oversee the business’s cash flow management, process payments, and prepare weekly cash flow projections.
* Prepare employee bonus payments for partner review and support the Finance Director in preparing board papers.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of new business and accounting systems.
* Assess billing targets and related reports, update policies and procedures, and conduct finance training sessions.
* Ensure the accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Companies’ Acts, tax legislation, and UK GAAP.
What we need to see (required):
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, finalist)
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Experience in a professional services or creative business.
What we’d like to see (preferred):
* Previous use of D365 Dynamics and Power BI systems.
* Experience in an architecture practice, engineering firm, or construction business
* International and multi-currency experience
Salary: £60,000 - £68,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Central London
Hybrid/Remote: 3 days per week in-office
