Category Manager

Greater Manchester
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Greater Manchester on a 3-month contract.
The Role:
* Lead on procurement projects to achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities
* Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
* Support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Carry out bench marking activities and market analysis
* Negotiate with suppliers
* Advise on procurement process and look to improve procedures where possible
The Person:
* Previous experience within the Public Sector
* PCR2015 knowledge
* Ability to work multiple projects at once
* MCIPS or working towards desirable
* Available at short notice
