Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Our client is an industry leading UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who provide Asbestos management services across the UK. They are now seeking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the Essex region. You will have extensive hands-on experience carrying out asbestos sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines, completing job sheets, ensuring to return to clients in a timely manner. You will be required to keep internal systems accurate and up to date as well as assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Hockley, South Benfleet, Wickford, Stanford-le-Hope, Tilbury, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Romford, Rainham, Rochford, Rayleigh.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Will have experience working for a UKAS accredited company as an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst.
" Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent observation skills.
" Excellent communication and time management skills.
" Good IT skills, able to keep internal systems up to date.
The Role:
" Working in a busy laboratory, carrying out sample analysis of asbestos using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Logging all samples onto internal systems accurately and in a timely manner.
" Accurately calibrating equipment when required.
" Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Completing job sheets once analysis has been done.
" Working in line with safe working practice, ensuring the laboratory is always clean.
" Providing technical support and advice to clients.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
