Contract Stress Engineer - Landing Gear
Location: Gloucester (Hybrid Working)
Duration: 12 Months

We are currently recruiting for a leading aerospace engineering firm dedicated to innovation and excellence in the aviation industry. They specialize in designing cutting-edge aircraft systems that prioritise safety, efficiency, and performance. They are seeking highly skilled and experienced Contract Stress Engineers with expertise in landing gear systems to join their dynamic team.

As a Contract Stress Engineer with Landing Gear experience, your responsibilities will include:

*Conducting stress analysis and simulations on landing gear components to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and design specifications.
*Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers, to optimize landing gear structures for performance and weight efficiency.
*Utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) tools and other engineering software to assess the structural integrity of landing gear components under various loading conditions.
*Providing technical expertise and guidance on stress-related issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
*Reviewing and validating stress reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Experience & Qualifications required:
*Bachelor’s or higher degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
*Proven experience as a Stress Engineer with a focus on landing gear systems in the aerospace industry.
*Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software and other relevant engineering tools.
*Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to landing gear design and stress analysis.
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
*This is a contract position with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
