Our client, a family-run business near Slough, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee, manage and coordinate its finance team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing budgets and cash flow. Previous experience within a similar accounting role is essential.
Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the purchase ledger function.
* Processing of supplier payment run.
* Credit checks.
* Daily cash management.
* Management of company budgets.
* Management of overhead spend.
* Escalation of debt collection.
* Processing of staff expenses.
* Overseeing VAT registrations (UK and Irish).
* Overseeing Accounts Administrator.
* Risk management.
* Ensure confidentiality of financial and employee data.
* Liaise with external accountants.
Key Skills:
* Previous experience in accounting role.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
* Bookkeeping experience.
* Organised and detail oriented individual.
* Ability to learn new systems.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Xero is desirable.
* Ability to manage workloads
* Discretion in relation to financial information.
* Team player.
