Job Description:
SF Recruitment have partnered with an organisation in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, who are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into an established Finance and Commercial Director, with one direct report, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement professional to add value and strategy alignment to this critical role.
Purpose of the role:
- Manage the commercial function to support business needs and legal requirements. Ensuring the smooth running of the commercial function to a ’no surprises’ agenda.
- Managing the company’s purchasing function, including company on-boarding processes and contracting, while cognisant of the group’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage the annual insurance relet and support refinancing activity for prime ABL facility. Support M&A activity and bidding activity, including commercial negotiations with clients.
- Represent the commercial function within SMT, ensuring process compliance within the wider business, and reporting to the SLT on commercial and legal matters of the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial function to business
- Management of supply chain contracting functions, including; Key supply chain contract negotiations and placements, Business purchasing processes, Supplier on-boarding, Supplier ERP set up
- Manage agency personnel contracts
- Contracting for equipment purchases including main contract flow down requirements
- Intergroup trade agreements
- Liaise with company secretary team as necessary
- Manage insurance renewals and claims with broker
- Commercial review and input to M&A activities
- Commercial review of tender documentation and negotiations with clients on commercial matters in support of Finance and Commercial Director and manage internal governance process for commercial areas
- Support the business in developing and implementing commercial strategies for successfully winning bids and managing post contract activities
