We are looking for an Audit/Assurance Director from the Big 4 or a Big 4 trained, Senior Group Reporting Professional from a large, listed business, to join a Global Real Estate and Property Services firm as a Head of Group Reporting. Paying £100-120k and based in Central London (Hybrid Working). This role will form part of a restructured growing team where you will have an opportunity to create change and mould and shape the position.
The Role
* Prepare responses to developments in IFRS. Lead implementation and roll out of changes in IFRS across the Group, including system developments to accommodate any new requirements. Lead a rolling programme of reviewing group-wide accounting under complex standards: IFRS 15, IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IFRS 17, etc.
* All aspects of UK accounting, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, pensions accounting, impairment analysis as required, intercompany, and review of risks partnering with functions to identify and appropriately account for contingent liabilities.
* Develop and maintain group accounting policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Ensure the policies are known and followed across the Group. Develop overall group finance standards and procedures.
* Provide technical support and expertise to the group, offering guidance on complex accounting issues and assisting in decision-making processes.
* Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit processes and ensuring appropriate information flow between all teams, including end to end project management. Escalation point for resolving matters across the Group.
