Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages on behalf of a lovely Manchester based secondary school.
This Teacher of MFL position is for a full academic year starting in September 2024. This Teacher of MFL role is a combination of KS4 Spanish and KS3 French. The school are not expecting an expert in both but you must be comfortable delivering both subjects.
The school is a "good" rates secondary academy which will be joining a large Trust in 2025. The school has around 1500 students, operating at slightly under capacity and has great transport links from and around Manchester city centre.

What do you need for this Teacher of MFL position:
QTS and/or PGCE in MFL- ECT’s are very welcome to apply - the school have a great reputation for supporting ECT’s through an extremely proactive and welcoming department
A DBS or a willingness to apply for one
A clean criminal background check
Experience in delivering KS3 and KS4 PE either through PGCE placements or in a previous role
If the school are unable to appoint they may potentially consider a candidate without QTS/a PGCE although you will need to hold a strong honours degree in an MFL related subject and be confident teaching 11-16 year olds
Ideally be available Mon - Fri although part-time candidates may be considered, however we need a minimum of three days a week commitment.
