Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly prestigious organisation, who are seeking to appoint a Senior Payroll Assistant to join their Finance division. This position is a hybrid position (3/2 split) 2 days working from home, with a range of extensive benefits including 30 days holiday plus bank holiday plus closure over Christmas and a generous benefit pension scheme.
Duties will include;

* Responsible for processing all starter and leaver documentation, contractual changes, creating and amending staff records using the integrated HR and payroll systems, liaising with Human Resources, members of staff and line managers as required.
* Plan and organize workload to ensure that the monthly payroll is delivered on time, providing additional cover for absent colleagues as appropriate.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of complex statutory HMRC Regulations (e.g. tax, national insurance, statutory sick/maternity pay, tax credits, student loans, statutory paternity/adoption leave, court orders) to ensure correct assessment, calculation and application in relation to employee records and payments.
* Provide support to the Payroll Team Leader to ensure the completion of all key monthly and annual payroll processes.
Person:

·         Uses own initiative and works independently to solve problems
·         Basic knowledge of Excel required
·         Experience using accounting software
