Day to day of the role:
* Prepare and review personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.
* Advise clients on tax planning and strategies to minimise liabilities and maximise compliance.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and its implications for individual clients.
* Liaise with HMRC and other professional bodies as required.
* Support clients during tax investigations and disputes.
* Collaborate with the accounting team to integrate tax advice with broader financial planning.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.
* Participate in business development activities to grow the personal tax client base.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
* Proven experience in personal tax within a practice environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
